Consequently both the girls seeking relief from menopause related ailments and their physicians are unwilling to place themselves at risk, even for relief of life preventing menopause ailments.

With no effective choices available through the medical profession, women are left on their own to determine what to do to find relief. Typically one will attempt the most recognizable herb or remedy which you happen to encounter. We are inclined to attribute value and security to something we’re knowledgeable about, even if that’s not the case. Unable to devote the time and focus needed to investigate and identify what’s the best product available, we are inclined to go with the flow.

But what are the facts in regards to natural hot flash treatments? There are lots of natural hot flash remedies on the market. To attempt to make sense of all of them, I’ll split them into two groups-phytoestrogens and non-phytoestrogens. I’ll only discuss phytoestrogens here, because they tend to ease menopause related complaints, especially hot flashes more efficiently than non-phytoestrogens.

    Fitoestrogen

So allow me to begin by describing what phytoestrogens are. Phytoestrogen means literally “plant”-“estrogen”. But before going any further with plant estrogens, lets look at human estrogen. Our body creates three estrogens, three variations on a theme if you will. The molecules seem very similar, with small variations. However, these variations are significant enough to alter the effects of all these estrogens somewhat.

Plants also, make molecules that look like human estrogen, but that aren’t exactly the same as what is made in the human body. Considering all the different plants found in nature, it is logical that plants wouldn’t all produce the same “plant estrogen” or phytoestrogen. And in fact that’s the case.

    Beneficial Qualities

There are lots of different estrogen like molecules found in nature, made by many unique plants. We call edible medicinal plants herbs. And so we look to various herbs as resources for these phytoestrogens that have medicinal or beneficial qualities with respect to menopause complaints. These many distinct phytoestrogens, each being unique, have distinct effects in our body.

Generally, phytoestrogens are a lot weaker than human estrogens in their estrogenic activity. One researcher has ventured that many phytoestrogens have about 1/1000th the estrogenic effect of human estrogens. Because all these plant estrogens is unique, each may have its own unique side effects. But normally, not being as powerful as human estrogen, the side effects are usually less well.

    Angka-angka

Let’s go directly to some of the study on the capacity of particular herbs to reduce hot flashes. Isoflavones are found primarily in legumes, including soy beans. They have weak estrogenic activity in people. Women receiving 60 mg of isoflavones daily for 12 weeks saw their hot flushes reduced 57% and night sweats reduced 43%. Another study way was reported in the Maturitas: Journal of Climacteric and Postmenopause.

The research investigated the benefits of soy for relief of hot flashes in a group of fifty-eight girls with a mean age of fifty-four. In six weeks the women reported that a 40% decrease in most menopause related ailments, including hot flushes and night sweats. Red clover is an herb that’s usually used by women seeking relief of hot flashes.

Apakah Ada Pengobatan Alternatif Untuk Menopause?

While red clover has shown benefit with respect to preserving bone density, at least one study reported in the National Center for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine found no advantage for relief of hot flashes.

    Analisis

In the analysis women complaining of hot flashes were granted either hormone replacement therapy, red clover, black cohosh or a placebo. To take part the 89 women had to have reported thirty-five or more hot flashes and night sweats weekly. Those getting the hormone replacement therapy reported the best advantage, with 94% reduction of flushes and sweats. Surprisingly for the researchers, the next biggest benefit was revealed from the placebo, with 63 percent decrease.

These results weren’t too promising, because red clover and black cohosh are two of the most frequently used herbal products in the USA for relief of hot flushes and night sweats. Fortunately there’s another contender that has been demonstrated in different research to greatly alleviate hot flashes and night sweats.

    Catatan Akhir

It’s Siberian rhubarb root extract, which while only recently available in the USA, has been used by European women for a while. A study published in the journal Menopause compared the advantages of this rhubarb root extract with ultra-low dose hormone replacement therapy. Researchers found that this extract (known as ERr 731 from the researchers) reduced hot flashes and night sweats in obese girls by 72%. Even better, Siberian rhubarb root extract was reported to aid virtually all menopause related ailments such as insomnia, anxiety and irritability, vaginal dryness, aches and pains, urinary incontinence and much more.
