    Has Menopause Arrived?

As we approach middle age, the female body goes through so many changes. What use to be beautiful, dewy, soft subtle appearing black skin, now seems like you have gone through a sand storm. Welcome to the coming of the twin sisters Meno & Pause. Also known as having your Men-on-Pause.

    Good to know

The first appearance of wrinkles passed off as laugh lines, the first grey hairs which you pluck out one by one till they get too many to count. Not realizing that you would get 7 grey hairs for every 1 you pulled out, you pluck and moan and moan? And let’s not forget, the memory lapses. This is when you become a member of the CRS Club. Wait, there’s more! Not only does your vision start to neglect you, your skin starts to appear dull and ashy and not to mention drying out. Oh I know, you thought your Black Don’t Crack! Well it will, especially since you have been taught that you don’t need moisturizers since you have got naturally oily skin. Oily does not always mean moisturized.

    Take note

It simply means that you are oily, ordinarily. The first hot flash and the awesome inconsistency of your menstrual cycles as you go through “the change,” can reek havoc on your skin. First your period is AWOL for three months, then coming on two per month, as though it needed to compensate for the missing days. Then you start to see chin hairs and you think, Oh, I’ll just grab the tweezers and pluck out those.

What Is The Robbed Of Womanhood?

Wrong answer! This will bring on these unwanted dark spots since you don’t understand how to correctly get rid of those hairs that seem to multiply overnight. Accepting these changes can take some bodily modification and preparation on your part. You can stock up on market sized wrinkle creams, face serums, eye creams, maximum grey coverage hair dye, designer eyeglasses which arrive in bifocal prescription, ginkgo biloba herbal supplements and I forget what else to boost your memory.

All these material things can help you with the physical changes. But the main thing you need is a simple attitude adjustment. So many African American Women tend to appear at menopause and all the changes before, during and after it, as a terrible thing. It’s not! It’s such a natural procedure. Evidence indicates that a bad attitude can make all those changes look worse than they really are.

    Having a hot flash?

This may mean anything from a serge up the back of your neck into a full blown, O God who turned up the heat moment. One way to work through skin changes would be not to wear as much makeup as you might have. This is the best time to have the natural glow of your lovely black skin glow. A daily skin care regimen is to cleanse, tone and moisturize. You’d add an exfoliating procedure to your regimen at least twice per week. This would eliminate any dead skin build up that looks. Embrace these years with enthusiasm. It’s a terrific time for sexy butt naked sex, no more having your Man-On-Pause. And it’s the ideal exercise for great blood flow. What a terrific way to recapture that radiant, youthful glow to a skin that is black.
